The Votes Are In!!!

So, yesterday I went to talk at my town's Commission meeting, where I told them all of my ideas. They loved them both, but ultimately decided that putting more trash cans in would be easier to implement and cause less of an uproar in town. The Commission voted to fund the project, but they told me I need to wrangle up the volunteers. These people will help to put the trash cans every 20 ft along the beach.

Some good things that could come from my project are healthier wildlife, my town's beaches getting voted most beautiful, and more tourists coming to see the beach.

Hey again guys!

I just got a call from Will, the guy in charge of the contest. He loves my project, and told me that there's a new part. I have to list the pros and cons for each possible action plan.

How the System Works

WELCOME!

Hi guys!

My name is Hannah. My town is having a contest to see who can create the best plan for solving an environmental problem in our community, and I'm going to enter! I'm thinking of having water pollution as my issue, because it's such a HUGE problem in my town. When you walk on the beach, all you see is bottles and other trash that people just leave there. They don't even care that all their litter gets into the waterand han harm sealife!

Every year, my family participates in Baynanza, which is a day where everyone goes out and picks up litter on the beaches. I think that it's a really great thing, but once a year isn't enough...

In my town, people are always complaining that the beaches are dirty, but no one ever does anything to change it. Until now!!!
